Aspanger
The Quarzwerke Group has been a distributor for Aspanger products since 2006.
Askat:
Askat is interfacially modified mica produced using special processing techniques. Thanks to its excellent adsorption characteristics, askat is used to remove anionic trash during the paper-making process. Due to its cationic charge and partial hydrophobing, it primarily absorbs “undesired resins.”
Askat is supplied in granular form with a moisture content of approx. 10 % (in dry-bulk tank trucks or by rail; packed in Big Bags or paper bags).

In Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, the Amberger Kaolinwerke distributes paper kaolins produced by BASF AG, formerly Engelhard Corp., USA.
The characteristic features of these kaolins, produced externally, are their small grain size and high degree of whiteness. They are primarily used in the manufacture of paper for offset printing.
BASF also offers calcine kaolin Ansilex ^® 93 , a product for improving opacity.
